Full-time Registered Land Surveyor

at Staffworthy Inc in Tennessee

The company is land surveying company, has evolved into an interdisciplinary consulting firm comprising experienced civil engineers, landscape architects, transportation experts, surveyors, and land planners. With over eight decades of expertise, we serve both private and public sectors, contributing to the development of commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:

Schedule and manage field and office survey projects with necessary support.
Produce and oversee control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys.
Present survey data to clients and prepare detailed reports outlining legal boundaries and other relevant information.
Collaborate with civil engineers, landscape architects, and fellow land surveyors in project development.
Work closely with project managers, field crews, and government agencies as required.
Stay informed on project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
Provide quality assurance and quality control, including peer review of survey work.
Manage survey staff and associated tasks.
Demonstrate the ability to resolve complicated boundaries with minimal oversight.
Apply knowledge of survey, boundary, state, and county laws, statutes, and regulations to projects.
Generate contour maps and alignments.
Conduct thorough project research.
Draft legal descriptions for various legal instruments.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, including achieving financial objectives.
Perform additional related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Professional Land Surveyor license in Tennessee.
Associate or BachelorÂ’s Degree in Survey, Geomatics, GIS, or a related field.
5-8+ years of office-related experience in land surveying.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Broad knowledge of surveying fundamentals, principles, and equipment operations.
Effective internal and external communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with GEOPAK, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
Experience with LiDAR capabilities, such as 3D laser scanning and point cloud registration.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Yearly
