Title - Senior DevOps Engineer with banking/Finance exp. 

Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746 (Hybrid from Day 1)

Type: Contract to Hire

Background: Financial or Banking Experience is a must

 

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid
understanding of applicable technologies, and a natural curiosity for producing
effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management
skills, and practices of effective communication style, especially with senior
executive stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Working within various modern languages, frameworks and tools, the successful
candidate will frequently work using (this list is not exclusive):

Duties: This job is typical dev/ops focused on patches/vulnerability
identification/resolution. Trouble shooting skills is a must. Does not need to
be a Java Dev but must be able to understand Java code/classes from a
troubleshooting point of view. Look at code/diagnose/understand what it is
doing. Microservices with Docker/Kubernetes will be helpful in getting hired.

 

Requirements:


DevOps CI/CD tools such as: Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, etc. especially
Ansible
Unix Shell Bash, Python, Windows PowerShell Scripting
ISO, XML, YAML, JSON data structure formats used by various
internal/external sources
Familiar with Docker/containers (knowledge of cloud infrastructure/private
cloud); Kubernetes 
Familiar with JAVA. (no full stack requirement or to be a seasoned dev)
trouble shoot abilities w/java exceptions. Ex) vulnerability research, which
class, which job file, find/point out. 
Informatica PowerCenter/Pentaho bonus skills (knowledge of)
Experience with vulnerability management such as identifying and resolving
system vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with hardware infrastructure (Storage, Linux, and Windows
Servers.)
Agile methodologies and or scrum principlesThe successful candidate will
help design, build, and support next-generation engineering solutions focused
on Resiliency and Innovation. The role will challenge the candidate to solve
complex problems related to Infrastructure and application related designs and
build requests, applications performance and development, Engineer and
integrate with multiple critical systems, platforms and with several other
applications being used across the departments as well as data visualization to
support the requirements of senior leadership as well as users across various
lines of business within the organization. The candidate will be a team member
of a fast moving, ?Agile? team using scrum.org  methodology
working directly with a product owner, client(s), and business stakeholders. 
   

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline,
or equivalent work experience required. 
8-10 years of experience in software maintenance required. 
Experience in the treasury, banking, securities, or financial services
industry is a plus.
