Full-time Tax Manager

The company is a dynamic and growing firm dedicated to providing exceptional tax and advisory services to a diverse clientele. We are seeking a talented and experienced (Senior) Tax Manager to join our team and contribute to the success and expansion of our Tax department.

Responsibilities:

Professional Responsibilities:

Report departmental performance to management and provide strategic suggestions for departmental strategy and resource utilization.
Identify and recommend new processes to enhance departmental efficiency.
Utilize extensive experience and judgment to effectively plan and achieve departmental goals.
Serve as a technical expert and resource within the department.
Embrace and exemplify CDH core values and the Firm's Five Star philosophy, emphasizing outstanding client service, effective communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, supervise, train, mentor, and develop staff at all levels within the department, from interns to managers.
Participate in firm-wide leadership activities, including monthly and annual staff meetings, performance reviews, recruitment efforts, and other duties to advance departmental and firm initiatives.
Cultivate client relationships by meeting with potential or existing external clients.
Review tax returns and financial documents prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist in tax planning projects and act as the primary resource for others assigned to the engagement.
Delegate and manage work tasks effectively, providing clear explanations of tasks' purposes and goals to staff.
Manage staff and client expectations, ensuring timely completion of assigned projects.
Provide tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations across various industries.
Conduct research and draft memoranda on technical issues using regulatory and source materials, sharing results with team members and serving as an expert in specific areas of the process.
Analyze complex transactions and present data to support decision-making.
Ensure tax returns are prepared in accordance with governing documents and applicable federal tax and state laws.

Personal Responsibilities:

Attend professional development and training sessions regularly, and actively contribute to departmental education.
Maintain and expand knowledge base in the area of expertise.
Take proactive steps to advance your career within the firm.
Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in accounting or a related field, preferably with a focus on Taxation.
Current CPA license.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining client relationships.
Strong foundation and practical working knowledge of tax law.

Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 Yearly
