As the DCS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the design, commissioning, and operations of the control system within the Engineering Department of our facility.

Responsibilities:

Support site DCS, PLC, and other industrial automation systems, such as ABB, Allen Bradley.
Implement logic changes to enhance plant reliability and minimize plant trips. Establish a management of change process to control and assess logic changes for plant integrity.
Develop and document new strategies for troubleshooting instrumentation, diagnosing operational interruptions, and maximizing overall equipment effectiveness.
Collaborate with unit operation teams and process engineers to identify and implement strategies for increased product yields, reduced energy usage, and optimized by-product value.
Coach operations and technical personnel on control strategy concepts and usage.
Generate new control strategies or instrument utilization projects to improve unit operations.
Work in a team environment with other Process Control Engineers to maintain overall site control system hardware and software.
Develop, prototype, and implement process control algorithms.
Organize, design, and execute the development, implementation, and maintenance of Advanced/Basic Control and Process Optimization.
Collaborate with team members to increase production quantities and qualities of desired products at the lowest cost, adhering to safety and environmental standards and policies.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience with DCS experience.
Minimum of 2+ years of similar experience in a process plant or similar facility.
Experience in project development, commissioning, and operations support.
2+ years of experience with programming PLCs (ABB, Honeywell, Rockwell, or equivalent).
Familiarity with industrial protocols, including EthernetIP, Modbus, PROFINET, or other similar protocols.
Strong communication skills and technical language proficiency.

Working Conditions:

Work may be performed inside the plant facility, indoors/outdoors, in various weather conditions.
Exposure to dust, noise, odors, chemicals, and fumes. Appropriate PPE will be provided and required.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, and bend as required.
Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.
Must pass employment physical, including a drug and alcohol test.
Must wear safety gear and required PPE.

Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 Yearly
