Offering a comprehensive suite of grilling products, including charcoal briquettes, all-natural lump charcoal, fire starters, and brands such as Pine Mountain, Diamond, and Specialty Wood Products.

Position Summary:

The Cost Accountant is a pivotal role responsible for performing accounting functions related to product inventory liability calculations. This role also involves monitoring labor costs by assessing overtime hours against staffing and production schedules. The incumbent will report on these activities monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

Support Monthly Close Process:

Collaborate with the finance team to facilitate the monthly close process.
Monthly Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS):

Accurately enter data related to monthly inventory and cost of goods sold.
Perpetual Inventory Management:

Maintain and update perpetual inventory records to ensure accuracy.
Generate Labor Cost and Shipment Reports:

Prepare and present labor cost and shipment reports for management review.
Manage Standard Cost System:

Oversee the standard cost system to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Product Line Analysis:

Conduct thorough product line analysis, providing insights for management review.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Work Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in cost accounting and/or finance.
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field.

Skills:

Demonstrated financial management skills.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks.
Project management capabilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication proficiency.
Technical capacity in accounting and finance systems.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
