The Company is a Construction Manager/General Contractor specializing in commercial building projects that matter to Colorado communities, including Municipal, Educational, Non-Profit/Faith-Based, Healthcare, and Commercial Office projects.

Job Description:

The Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Estimator. As an integral part of our team, the Estimator will play a key role in creating organized budgets, guiding projects from preconstruction to completion, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Coordinate with Interns, Architects, Operations Management, and OwnerÂ’s Representatives for preconstruction services.
Guide projects from preconstruction into construction, ensuring compliance with contract documents and quality measures.
Organize and lead OAC preconstruction meetings with Owners and participate in design team meetings.
Mentorship:

Communicate The Company's Vision, Mission, and Values effectively.
Mentor, motivate, and guide team members to achieve personal, professional, and company-wide goals.
Teamwork:

Support Business Development efforts by maintaining client relationships and offering technical expertise.
Engage with co-workers professionally, mediating conflicts when necessary.
Business Development:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and Project Stakeholders.

Schedule Management:

Create and manage preconstruction phase schedules, coordinating with the operations team.
Identify long lead items and potential schedule delays, procuring necessary items early.

Budget Management:

Develop conceptual estimates and present to the Owner and Design Team.
Complete detailed, accurate, and timely estimates at each design phase.
Assess market conditions and adjust historical cost data accordingly.
Provide cost-saving ideas and oversee constructability reviews.
Subcontractor Management:

Maintain positive relations with subcontractors.
Manage subcontractor outreach, selection, and pre-bid processes.
Conduct post-bid interviews to vet subcontractor proposals.

Presentation Skills:

Participate in project interviews, representing The Company professionally.
Technical Skills & Training:

Mastery Knowledge of Sage Estimating Software, iSqFt Software, PlanSwift Software, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam PDF Software, Asta Scheduling Software, Exporting Sage Reports for Job Setup in Viewpoint/Vista Software, Viewpoint/Vista Job Cost Reports.
Working Knowledge of Modelogix, Geotechnical and/or Soils Reports, PPRBD Permit Process, Mechanical Systems.
