Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the mechanics of packaging machinery, utilizing existing designs or creating new ones to achieve optimal performance at the most economical costs. The successful candidate will be proficient in 3D solid modeling, have a strong background in mechanical and pneumatic designing, and possess a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop packaging machinery mechanics based on existing designs or a compilation of designs to meet performance and cost targets.
Prepare comprehensive packages of working drawings and bills of materials for standard manufacturing processes.
Provide standard machinery designs to address our customer's packaging needs and develop effective packaging processes.
Utilize 3D solid modeling to create innovative machinery designs in response to changing customer needs.
Ensure accuracy of calculations in kinematics, dynamics, pneumatics, and servo motion analysis required for designing automation mechanisms and equipment.
Create and maintain mechanical bills of materials in a structured format for submission to production.
Detail working drawing mechanics to optimize manufacturing practices.
Research and select purchased mechanical components based on sizing and suitability for specific applications.
Develop working assembly drawings for production and customer usage, facilitating component identification.
Contribute to cost reduction and quality improvement efforts for mechanical designs in our machinery.
Understand customer's mechanical specifications and needs for their packaging operations.
Collaborate with the technical writer in the creation of machine documentation.
Qualifications:

BachelorÂ’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and pneumatic designing of packaging machinery.
Strong design experience is required.
Proficiency in 3D modeling is essential.

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 Yearly
