Position Summary:
The CART Manager is a key position responsible for driving the compliance assurance and reporting team (CART) within Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group. This internal role plays a crucial part in ensuring the consistent application of company policy and procedure, as well as overseeing the accuracy of all financials and meeting deadlines across the organization. The CART Manager works collaboratively with business management teams to super serve Tri Star clients, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Job Essentials, Responsibilities, Duties:
Management Team Collaboration:
Actively participate as a member of the management team, contributing to the development of best accounting practices.
Training and Development:
Responsible for the training, coaching, development, and education of the Tri Star Controller role, including Jr. Controllers, Deputy Controllers, and other CART Team Members.
Process Improvement:
Lead the Process Improvement team to develop and implement new policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy in existing ones.
Human Resources Liaison:
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure Tri Star Academy remains up to date.
Financial Reporting:
Ensure team controllers issue financial reporting packages annually, quarterly, or monthly.
Ad Hoc Projects:
Work with teams to establish ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Budget Oversight:
Oversee the creation of client budgets and ensure monthly budget-to-actual reporting is sent to clients.
Insurance Renewals:
Assist teams with annual insurance renewals, ensuring complete coverage and risk mitigation.
Financial Statement Review:
Responsible for the process of annual financial statement review in preparation for tax deliverables.
Tax Coordination:
Act as a liaison with the tax manager to provide necessary data for the completion of all tax returns.
Commission Process:
Oversee the monthly commission process.
Risk Management:
Assist teams in identifying risk to the company.
Industry Awareness:
Stay up to date on industry standards and developments.
Staff Development:
Develop SMART goals and participate in annual reviews for direct reports.
Training Initiatives:
Lead staff-wide trainings for major CART deliverables such as Annual 1099 Reporting and Shareholder/Payroll.
Technology Solutions:
Assist with technology solutions and developments.
Internal Controls and Audits:
Oversee internal operating controls, processes, and practices.
Plan and perform operational and financial audits.
GAAP Compliance:
Manage audits and ensure all accounting transactions are performed in accordance with GAAP.
Salary- $115,000 - $150,000 Yearly
