Auto Body Technician
at Collision Guys in Michigan
Autobody Technicians repair vehicles thoroughly and safely in a manner consistent with insurance partner and industry standards.
Job responsibilities…
Complete dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assess damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan
Ensure all needed repairs are quickly identified to minimize repair time
Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and reassemble after parts are painted
Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as welders, soldering equipment, cutting torch, hammers, sanders, spray guns to name a few
File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper to get vehicle ready for painting
Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards
Perform other related duties as assigned relating but not limited to disposing of trash, washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc.
Skills Required…
You are at least 18 years of age
You are able to read/speak English
You are able to multi-task and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
Outgoing personality, aggressive, self-motivated, strong work ethic with friendly personality
Must be able to work Monday to Friday and have reliable transportation
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must have 2+ years auto body repair experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Eight-hour shifts
Day shifts
Monday to Friday
No weekends

Masks are optional. Common Surface are sanitized regularly. Covid Vaccine is recommended but not required.
Reliable Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation to the Southwestern part of Lansing, Michigan 48917

Auto body repair: 2 years (Required)
