Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment and selection
Familiarity with HR systems and software
Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment legislation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop job advertisements and interview questions
Proficient in using e-platforms, recruitment portals, LinkedIn, and other social media for talent acquisition
Solid understanding of induction processes and employee onboarding
Experience in coordinating training and development programs, including learnerships
Knowledge of performance management processes
Understanding of Employment Equity (EE) and BBBEE regulations
Ability to manage employee termination processes with attention to detail
Proficient in HR administration, including payroll and general record-keeping
Project coordination skills for handling ad hoc HR projects
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive HR information
Proactive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Selection:
Update position job descriptions
Develop job advertisements in collaboration with the Line Managers
Create interview questions for each position
Advertise jobs internally and externally through e-platforms, websites, recruitment portals, LinkedIn, Social Media, and other approved agencies
Screen CVs and shortlist candidates
Conduct initial screening interviews, either in-person or telephonically
Forward shortlisted CVs to the Line Managers for final selection
Set up interviews
Conduct applicant background checks, including references, employment, education, and criminal record checks
Schedule candidates for assessments as required by the role
Build a talent pipeline for future positions
Ensure the recruitment process aligns with Employment Equity (EE) objectives
Achieve timely filling of vacancies
Induction:
Prepare/facilitate the setup of new employee workstations
Ensure employees are loaded into all necessary systems
Arrange new employee uniforms and tools where applicable
Facilitate employee induction using appropriate documentation and procedures
Complete documentation for employee record purposes and forward to Payroll for loading
Ensure a smooth introduction of new employees into the business
Study Administration:
Facilitate the study application process and process all administration as per SOP
Track the progress of study results
Communicate study results to Line Managers
Skills Development:
Identify Training & Development needs
Develop Individual Development Plans
Liaise with T&D specialists/providers to arrange programs
Coordinate Learnerships, process all documentation, and maintain records
Liaise with Line Managers to coordinate T&D programs
Process all administration around T&D programs
Update information on Payroll
Produce Skills Plans and Reports
Develop and implement Skills Plans
Performance Management:
Assist Head - HR with the completion of Performance Agreements
Load agreements on Payroll
Achieve deadlines
Employment Equity & BBBEE:
Develop EE Plans
Submit data for EE reporting purposes
Coordinate EE meetings and provide feedback to Management
Assist with BBBEE verification
Achieve EE targets
Submit EE reports on time
Employee Termination:
Process all documentation relating to resignations, disability, dismissals, absconsions, retirement, and retrenchment, following SOPs
Payroll, SOPs & General Administration:
Ensure all relevant information is captured/updated on Payroll, including Skills Development and Performance Management
Adhere to HR SOPs
Ensure proper filing, document management, and housekeeping
Maintain all personnel administration, employee benefits, EE, skills, BBBEE, etc
Collate HR month-end reports with all required metrics
Ensure currency of HR administration policies and practices
HR Projects:
Assist Head - HR with ad hoc project coordination
Deliver on-time and accurate results
