Electrical Engineering Manager

at Jobisite in Wisconsin

This position is located in West Central WI near Eau Claire, WI. This position reports to the Vice-President of Engineering and has approximately 17 reports for this role.

What You Will Do

• A standout candidate will serve as the Electrical Engineering leader and is someone people savvy and technically skilled who is a strong, intuitive communicator. This position will manage a team of electrical engineers, designers, and programmers to design, develop, and deliver superior solutions for all our customers (both internal and external). Experience with a made to order capital equipment manufacturer is essential.
• Serve as the technical leader and project manager for significant development projects. Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
• Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear message with an understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
• Coordinate all design activities of the electrical & controls team, interface with key cross-functional groups such as other engineers, purchasing, quality assurance, manufacturing, and external vendors.
• Develop and maintain product standards, training systems, processes and best practices and then ensure consistency between product lines
• Support new product development, value engineering, and continuous improvement projects
• Review operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning
• Evaluate product non-conformance and recommend design modifications
What You Have to Offer
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of overall experience in relevant Engineering discipline
• 7+ years leadership experience; specifically cross-functional, collaborative leadership experience
• Proficiency in Electrical & Controls systems including PLC, IoT, remote monitoring, etc.
• Ability to develop strategic plans for core engineering organization and achieve results aligned with business objectives
• Ability to measure and quantify data associated with engineering activities and systems in support of business strategy and departmental efficiencies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop individuals and the team
• Leadership competencies such as; driving results, strategic mindset, balances stakeholders, tech savvy and customer focus
• Has experience in large scale projects/capital equipment if they have led teams that specifically created the capital equipment since this is directly related to designing and developing custom made to order capital goods
