Content Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Writer to join our team. The lead content writer will be responsible for overseeing the development and creation of content across various platforms and channels. They will collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure that the content aligns with the organization's brand and objectives. The lead content writer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing content strategies that drive engagement, traffic, and conversions.

Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute content strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audience.
2. Write, edit, and proofread content for multiple platforms, including website, blog, social media, and newsletters.
3. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
4. Conduct keyword research and incorporate SEO best practices into content creation to drive organic traffic.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify opportunities for new and engaging content.
6. Review and improve copy on our web properties, social media, email, storefronts, and marketing/sales materials to align with the above
7. Market research, idea generation, and content planning
8. Work extensively with AI tools in conjunction with our audience/customers to ideate, write, edit, and optimize content
9. Write & edit things including
- Video scripts
- Blog posts
- Email subject lines & copy
- Product listings
- Marketing materials
- Social media captions
Software/Tools:
- Jasper AI, ChatGPT, or other AI content writing tools
- Semrush or Ahrefs
Skill set:
- Proven experience as a content writer, preferably in a lead or senior role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of content management systems and basic HTML.
- Ability to stay updated with industry trends and best practices in content marketing.
- Preference to candidates with hands-on experience with arts & crafts
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content writing, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Portfolio of published writing samples in various formats and styles.
- Familiarity with industry-specific topics and trends.
