ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will apply welding principles to maintain and fabricate equipment for the assembly of drilling equipment and other accessories as a member of the Aquatech Dewatering Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for equipment fabrication (welding) and assembling of drilling equipment and other accessories when needed;
· On occasion, load, deliver and pick up rental equipment at customer job sites and supplies;
· Assist as needed in the set-up of pumping and/or environmental equipment;
· Operate company trucks in a safe and efficient manner;
· Perform daily inspections of the vehicle and document as required;
· General shop / yard duties (cleaning, testing, moving / organizing equipment);
· Respond to emergency field service calls during regular business hours and outside of regular business hours (as needed);
· Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency response on-call schedule
· Act in accordance with Aquatech’s Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
o Warehouse/Shop experience an asset
o Valid Class G Driver’s License in good standing
o Attention to detail and quality workmanship
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and on a daily basis
o Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp
o Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
o Water/Wastewater/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or related (OIT a strong asset)
o Safety training - WHMIS, 4 Step Awareness, Working At Heights, TDG
o Forklift Certification is an asset
o Mechanical Aptitude
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
