Full-time Marketing Communications Manager

Assembly House 150 is seeking to hire a dynamic and passionate professional to join our team as a Marketing Communications Manager. This position will work in collaboration with the director and the administrative team to effectively develop and implement marketing and communications strategies for Assembly House 150 education programs, fundraising initiatives, events, and creative projects, and will conduct business outreach to promote marketing and commission/presentation/sales opportunities for AH150 designed objects and environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizing an existing design and communications architecture, the successful candidate will be responsible for content creation and management of AH150 promotional materials. This includes but is not limited to: the development of program materials, such as brochures, posters, and print and web advertisements for recruitment; serving as the primary contact for all media inquiries; maintaining social media accounts and website; writing and editing organization-wide press releases; quarterly emails; and the design of event invitations and other collateral as needed. In addition, the position will coordinate AH150 promotional and commission/presentation/sales strategies for AH150 designed objects and environments, including conducting research and business outreach for potential fee-for-service work, exhibition opportunities, and product placement. The Marketing Communications Manager will assist with AH150’s monthly public tour initiative and will provide support for AH150 events as needed.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the organization’s mission, highly organized, able to work on tight deadlines, have excellent written and verbal skills, and be competent in using Adobe Creative Suite. Candidates with prior experience in an art, design, or architecture setting are highly encouraged to apply.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of experience in a marketing or communications role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team.
• Highly organized.
• Exemplary people skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in website and social media management.
• Skilled in photography and graphic design.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing communications strategies.
• Experience utilizing an existing identity framework to inform marketing and design decisions
• Prior experience in business/arts services is desirable

COMPENSATION
$50,000 plus health benefits and 26 total PTO days in the first year of employment.
