Full-time Warehouse Operator

at Larson Packaging Company in California

Job Summary:

A warehouse operator is responsible for managing the supply chain process, handling vendor and customer orders and interactions, implementing safety regulations, and checking all packages for quality assurance. Individuals in this role should be extremely detail oriented and possess basic math skills. It is also expected that warehouse operators have adequate physical strength to successfully unload shipments. It may be required to operate a pallet jack or other warehouse machinery. While the day-to-day duties of a warehouse operator are determined by their employer, there are many core tasks associated with the role. These tasks consist of material handler, warehouse coordinator; inbound receiving, inbound QC, palletizing, boxing/packing, cycle counting, part pullers, shipping computer processing, part stockers, etc.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

• Inspect product load for accuracy and
safely move it around the warehouse or
facility to ensure timely and complete
delivery
• Manage the supply chain
• Monitor inventory
• Adhere to safety regulations
• Cycle counts
• Math skills
• Perform variety of routine tasks to assist
in production activities.
Critical Tasks:
• Ability to communicate and comprehend
the English language.
• Operate pallet jack, tend to stacking,
loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or
around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes
and secure material or products for
transport to designated areas.
• Be able to manually or mechanically load
or unload materials from pallets, skids,
platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other
material moving equipment if and when
needed.
• Weigh materials or products and record
weight or other production data on tags
or labels.
• Arrange sheet metal in warehouse.
• Assure co-workers that they have correct
parts.
• Deliver electrical wire for the units on the
line.
• Follow safety and quality policies.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment
as required
• Ensure tool and equipment are kept clean
and in working order.
• Double-check items to verify accuracy of
outgoing orders.
• Properly scan and inventory incoming
goods.
• Unload, stack, move and place products
in appropriately designated areas.
• Help to efficiently carryout all product
loading and unloading task.
• Perform detailed manual inventory
counts.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Arrange inventory for storage.
• Keep all material clear from aisles.
