We are seeking a Lead Technical Accountant to join our Accounting Policy team which analyses and resolves complex non-routine accounting and reporting issues.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Manage, review, analyse and approve complex non-routine transactions and projects. Examples include revenue recognition, leases, sale / leaseback, derivatives, guarantees and indemnifications, exit and disposal activities, foreign currency matters, business combinations and divestitures, impairments, etc.
Engage with external audit partners to review and clear technical accounting matters.
Collaborate with multiple functions and departments including Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Business controllers to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting.
Analyse new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies, including evaluating the impact of new guidance on the Company’s financial statements and implementing new accounting standards, as required.
Assist in the preparation and review of all SEC filings, including annual and quarterly reports and other required form filings to ensure accuracy of data presented.
Provide guidance and updates to key company personnel including CEO, CFO, and Corporate Controller

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Companies ATS Questions):

1. Do you have a BS Accounting/Finance

2. Do you have 7+ years of experience with Big 4 or industry related experience in an accounting policy role

3. Do you have a thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting

4. Do you have a CPA – Must have

5. Do you have a previous experience working in a manager type role is strongly preferred.

6. Do you have a MBA – a plus

7. Do you have a knowledge of IFRS – a plus

8. Do you have a experience with M&A – a plus

9. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
