We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA.

What You’ll Do
As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for the origination and analysis of appropriate and relevant research to inform and support initiatives for sales; as well as being an integral part of supporting product development, distribution, and corporate strategy initiatives. Focus areas include:
• Analyzing key industry trends and developments.
• Creating regular market intelligence reports that highlight product specific unique selling propositions and positioning in key peer groups.
• Supporting sales and product strategy initiatives, specifically in relation to understanding different market dynamics, market opportunities, and competitor landscapes.
• Developing client intelligence by utilizing various sources of information to provide actionable insights.
• Building relationships across the business and manage stakeholders such as sales partners, product managers and marketing channel consultants.
• Implementing process enhancements and efficiencies to maintain high level of service for recurring requests while creating capacity for other firm-wide strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Mastering research tools and maintain relationships with all the major suppliers of market intelligence data. Increase knowledge of market intelligence systems / databases (for example, Morningstar Direct, eVestment, Broadridge, etc) and the ability to manage, automate and interpret large amounts of data intelligently and quickly.
• Leveraging analytical abilities (both quantitative and qualitative) to present complex issues and ideas intelligibly and fluently (including using or building visualization tools).
• Leveraging knowledge of the financial markets and the key trends driving the asset management industry - with a curiosity to develop that knowledge.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, finance, economics, management information systems or other related business discipline required.
• 3 years of financial services industry experience, market research or finance experience.
• Familiarity with product/market research, product management, or competitive analysis experience.
• Strong grasp of investment concepts and the strategic application of investment data and statistics required.
• Knowledge of Asset Management industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the use of investment analytical systems/applications such as eVestment Analytics, Morningstar Direct, Broadridge and others Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
