GVI, Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Senior Engineer to join our Team in the New London/Groton, CT area.

This position will provide on-sight support of Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines.



Qualified candidates will be expected to:

· Maintain knowledge and experience in overseeing the development, integration, test, evaluation and certification of existing and new submarine FBW SCS designs.

· Review of engineering specifications, documents, drawings, plans and audits of computer software units.

· Review of system, software and hardware test procedures.

· Witnessing of Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.

· Validation of all requirements.

· Maintain knowledge in hardware and software test and inspection methods and requirement verification, validation and quality assurance methods.

· Participate in fly-by-wire process development and execution. Participate in modernization teams, as necessary, to coordinate and develop the appropriate system upgrades and ensure other interfacing systems maintain compliance with existing interface specification and coordinate proposed interface changes.

Position Requirements:

· US Citizen.

· Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance (or higher) are preferred.

· BS EE or equivalent.

· Knowledge of Submarine Development and Construction.

· Knowledge of functional operation of Submarine Ship Control Systems and forward electronics.

· Knowledge of principles and techniques of Test and Evaluation Program Management.

· Computer programming language knowledge and experience.

· Ability to understand ADA.

· Ability to use complex interactive computer-based systems.

· Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

· Knowledge in program management of complex software intensive systems involving contractor developed and government furnished software products.

· Demonstrated 10 years of pertinent experience.

· Previous experience as US Navy submariner is beneficial.
