Shipper Packer #2988

GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Department of Defense industry leader, is seeking a Shipper Packer to support our customer by providing consumable and repairable material issues, deliveries, retrograde collection and screening, and supply logistics support to the fleet in San Diego, CA.
Qualified Candidates will be expected to:
Applicants will be required to perform a variety of Packing duties that require an understanding of the P700 packaging procedures.
Work involves:
Preparing finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers.
Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content.
Selection of appropriate type and size of container.
Inserting enclosures in container.
Using excelsior or other materials to prevent breakage or damage.
Applying labels or entering identifying data on container.
Applicant may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Position Requirements:
US Citizen.
Ability to pass a U.S. Government background check.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Equivalent or similar experience greater than 1 year.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Position is located in San Diego, CA.
