Job purpose

We are seeking an experienced, skilled information technology candidate to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for teaching network databases and systems, system hardware and software, troubleshooting system errors, and instructing student members in supporting all data security and optimization. An extensive background in technology and computer science, with experience in maintaining and installing IT systems, is a must.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
Industry certification (MCSE), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ certification, or other related IT professional certification; must meet all state-required licensure/certification. Preference is given to candidates with the following: CASP, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, Sec+, Net+, A+, Cloud+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCDA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MTA
Experience in teaching and advising non-traditional or diverse student populations.
Minimum 2 years experience in an information technology role
Experience teaching network and server management support
Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, hardware, and upgrades
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Training or Expertise

High English level (Well spoken, well written)
Specific Knowledge in five IT credentials:

CompTIA At Core 1

CompTIA A+ Core 2

CompTIA Network +

CompTIA Security +

Mobile Digital Forensics Basic Certification

Experience

2+ Minimum years experience in an information technology role
Experience in teaching and advising diverse student populations.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Create and maintain course documents such as syllabus, student learning outcomes, tests, etc. The course syllabus must be submitted for review to the Program Head and/or Department Chair.
Provide feedback to students regarding course progression.
Demonstrate proficiency in technology required by academic program area and in administrative processes as required by the program.
Experiment with new, innovative teaching techniques.
Participate in student recruitment efforts as directed.
Engage in professional development.
Maintain suitable class records which show student membership hours, academic progress, student grading systems, etc.
Assess student learning outcomes and demonstrate the use of the results to improve the course/program.
Experience working in a flexible learning environment.
Experience teaching Networking, Cyber Security, Programming, and Support.
Programming experience with Swift, Python, Java, HTML, C++, and other commonly used programming languages.

Driven, proactive thinker, highly organized with exceptional communication skills, and fully capable to take initiative, manage and oversee a variety of high-priority projects from multiple management and professional levels successfully with minimal direction

Proficient with Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for 10 weeks
Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Very Patient, Responsible, extremely punctual
WAGE COMPENSATION

Salary: $15,000 10 weeks

Schedule: 10 weeks (Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM – 10:00PM EST)

Shuttle bus transportation will be provided from Brockton City Hall to Bay State College Taunton. Departing Brockton City Hall at 4:15 pm and returning to Brockton City Hall.

Must be able to attend punctually for 10 weeks. Starting on February 13th in preparation for students for the position of Computer Support Specialist for Brockton residents.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Salary: $1,500.00 per week
