Role - Cloud Data Architect

Location- Oakland, California ?(initially Remote)

Duration- Contract

 

Job Description

 

·         12+ years of total industry experience designing and implementing
data platforms and solutions.

·         Detailed knowledge of Data pipeline infrastructure from ingestion
to storage to query and processing, various technologies involved along the way.

·         Knowledge of significant trends in the modern data space,
technology choices along with their relative merits and de-merits.

·         Demonstrable hands-on experience with modern big data tools such as
Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Hadoop and / or data warehousing tools such as
Snowflake. Knowledge of equivalent offerings on public clouds such as Azure is
required as well

·         Knowledge of the cloud native landscape including container
registries, Automation, key management, security, networking, container
runtimes, storage, service mesh, service discovery, CICD toolset in the context
of Kubernetes.

·         Working experience with Infrastructure automation through IaC tools
such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, ARM templates, Cloud Formation etc.

·         5+ years of experience with Python / PowerShell or equivalent
software development background.

·         Experience with data migration and modernization from on-premises
into Cloud.

·         Knowledge of data governance issues.

·         Knowledge of how MLOps is different from traditional DevOps and
MLOps pipelines in detail. Working experience on large scale ML infrastructure
and demonstrable experience in productionizing ML models.

·         Other General Mgmt Skills

·         We're seeking a high caliber Consulting Architect with experience
in implementing cloud native solutions at scale. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for working on green field and brown field engineering efforts that
involve Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms. The candidate
shall be customer facing and shall play very critical role in several aspects
of the project delivery including Scope of Work, management of timelines and
delivery.
