Full-time Regulatory Affairs Specialist - 2905

at Three Saints Bay, LLC in Virginia

Ocean Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a looking for an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Team in Arlington, VA!

Responsibilities:

· Identify and provide guidance in developing regulatory policies and procedures; provide maintenance and updates, and appropriate control of documents, policy standards, or consensus standards on necessary actions to maintain regulatory compliance.

· Research, interpret and analyze applicable laws and regulations to ensure it accurately reflects the policies of the organization/agency.

· Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents.

· Formulate/Write Notices of Proposed Rulemaking, Final Rules, publications of quotas, procedures, specifications, standards, and technical documentation of processes for regulatory actions; collect and coordinate information and prepare regulatory documentation for submission.

· Actively participate in the evaluation of regulatory compliance of documents, processes and methods changes and reviews existing policy or suggested changes for impact in implementation and application.

· Participate in the research of regulatory issues and dissemination of regulatory information to management as required; Resolves complex issues or problems affecting the components of DCP.

· Participate in establishing and coordinating program plan requirements and interface with each section/office. Evaluate, monitor, and report performance against plans to ensure guidelines meet appropriate procedures and policies.

· Work independently to review and prepare documents addressing unconventional issues and/or problems affecting the program; work to identify trends and areas for improvements in procedures.

· Provide technical guidance to other staff members regarding DCFA policy and procedures as well as proposed legislation and executive policy directives.

· Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit in order to provide ideas, methods or processes for unit/department performance improvement.

· Perform a full range of support duties pertaining to program evaluation in order to enhance the understanding and ensure level of compliance with existing regulations and policies.

· Write or update standard operating procedures, work instructions, or policies. Assist with ensuring compliance with SOPs and in initiating and revising SOPs as necessary.

· Develop appropriate compliance awareness training programs and conduct training consistent with regulatory compliance manuals.

· Conduct and document timely complaint and root cause investigations.

· Maintain documentation and historical records for projects and provide management with updated status.

· Develop and maintain spreadsheets, tracking databases, reports, and presentations; generate and document information for statistical purposes; utilize government database systems and word processing software; compile files on initiatives for OD personnel as requested.

· Creates briefings for senior management outlining changes or modifications on relevant laws, regulations and policies.

· Participate in discussions, meetings, conferences, and conference calls with agency administrative, subject matter experts, and technical personnel, and other federal agency officials.

· Serve as liaison between DEA and other law enforcement agencies in the areas of Diversion Control responsibilities and objectives.

· Work with general public or specific registrants that may be impacted by OD activities.

· Perform other related and/or administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

· US Citizen.

· Ability to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Designation and be drug free.

· Master’s Degree.

· Four 4 years of relevant experience required.

· Able to work as part of a team or independently with minimal direction.

· Strong writing, analytical, proofreading, and research skills.

· Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), technology systems, and communications tools(Adobe).

· Strong oral and interpersonal skills Professional demeanor.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Intermediate to advanced skills in manipulating data in Excel preferred.

· Experience performing extensive research utilizing multiple data sources systems preferred.

· Ability to multi-task; detail oriented; be observant and anticipate operational needs.

· Excellent problem solver and able to handle difficult situations.

· Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of situations.
