Oracle Database Architect

Position: Oracle Database Architect (SME)
Location: Kansas City, Missouri(Onsite)
Type: Contract

Job Description:
Design strategies for enterprise databases, applications, and supporting
systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
Design, install, configure and implement commercial of the shelf (COTS)
applications while meeting ITD governance, compliance, security, and
operational policies and standards. Integrate new systems with existing
databases, systems, and cloud infrastructure and refine system performance
and functionality. Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks,
new system evaluations, integration requirements, or technology
assignments. Responsible for submitting, tracking, and resolving COTS
issues, bugs, and enhancement requests with vendors. Establishes goals and
plans that meet project objectives as coordinated by the JPATS PMO. Has
USMS domain and partner (e.g. BOP, Capture, JDIS, etc.) expert technical
knowledge and integration familiarity using web services and APIs. Primary
stakeholder in IT activities, meetings, sessions, and events for the JPATS
PMO, having overall responsibility for requirements gathering, business
process definition, procedure/policy creation, and project schedule updates
to ensure that technical requirements and project scope, schedule and cost
are met. Interactions involve stakeholder requirement and process
negotiations and interfacing with senior agency, department, and
organization management/leadership. Decision-making and domain knowledge
may have a critical impact on overall project implementation

Qualification:
A Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience.
? Minimum of 15 years? specialized subject matter expertise that is related
to the duties
described above and that has equipped the candidate with the knowledge,
skills, and abilities
to successfully perform the work.
? Minimum 15 years? specialized subject matter expertise in installation,
configuration,
patching, and administration of the following operating systems and COTS
software:
o Redhat Linux versions 7 or newer
o Oracle Database version 12.2, 18c, 19c, or newer
o Oracle Financials E-Business Suite version 12.2.4 or newer
o Oracle Business Intelligence version 12.x or newer
o Oracle Transportation Management 6.4 (Oracle Logistics)
? Additionally, this position must have 10 or more years? experience in
administration of the
following software including knowledge of these versions: 70
o Oracle Applications Express (APEX) software development environment
version 5.x or newer
o Oracle RESTful Data Services version 3.x or newer
o Nagios Monitoring System version/PNP4 Nagios version 4.x
o Jenkins 2.x
o Oracle Reports Server v12.2.1
o Apache Tomcat v7.x / 8.x
