Position: Project Manager with Healthcare domain
Contract: Long Term
Location: Bethesda, MD 20892 Onsite mandatory
Job Description:
- Serve as the technical assistant on personnel and travel actions, and
as a highly knowledgeable resource for requests for personnel actions and
fellowship appointments within assigned Branch/Center.
- Provide a full range of administrative coordination services in
managing information regarding staffing needs. Assures that all necessary
documentation is completed and that all appropriate approvals and
clearances are obtained for the recruitment, appointment or renewal of
professional, technical, and support staff; reassignments; pay increases or
adjustments; accelerated promotions; separations or terminations, etc.;
monitor the status of actions and provide updates to Branch/Center staff on
a recurring basis.
- Assist in collecting accurate data and providing summaries for use by
Branch/Center staff in making decisions for analysis, or for other
executive use.
- Prepare travel documents for Branch/Center staff prior to initial
review by the staff assistant for final submission to the NHLBI Office of
Intramural Management.
- Serve as travel coordinator for preparation of documents related to
local, domestic, foreign and outside activity travel, which involves
interaction with the NHLBI Ethics Office (sponsored travel).
- Keep current on NIH operational policies and procedures.
- Assist employees with policy regarding general administrative
procedures; assist staff on the use of administrative systems, such as:
Integrated Time and Attendance System (ITAS), NIH Business System (NBS),
NHLBI Intranet, etc.
- Schedule, organize, and create agendas/presentations/handouts for
collaborative meetings; manage the Outlook calendar of assigned senior
staff members, as required.
- Organize, maintain, and update physical and electronic files; ensure
that all files are easily accessible for others.
- Assist in coordinating special projects and meetings on behalf of
senior leaders within the Branch/Center.
- Provide orientation for new staff members on DIR and Branch/Center
policies and procedures; initiate requests and/ or advises on matters such
as keys, registration for various systems, etc.
- Other special projects on behalf of the Branch/Center or DIR, as
assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business management, or a
related field.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to
manage multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated analytical, planning and problem-solving skills are
required.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools,
methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope,
budget, and timeline
