Payroll Specialist

at Jobisite in California

You are a fast learner. You enjoy interacting with people and can work independently in a collaborative work environment. You are sensitive to time and can research on your own and communicate efficiently when approaching deadlines.

Duration: 3 months + renew extension depending on further need; possible contract to Hire – if the client criteria match at the time of conversion

Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite, rest remote after 2 weeks of onsite training (may change due to seasonal changes and workload required)

Skills or experience:
1. 3 to 5 years of payroll experience or Accounting bookkeeping.
2. Verify the benefits enrollment
3. Pulling payroll
4. Check pay code, where pensionable/or non-pensionable, Service time, submissions, calculate interest run (contribution rate), and Contribution reconciliations.
5. Calculate Contribution rates - how much members are contributed % per year
6. Service Audit
7. Members' files review
8. MS Office Suite Advanced, Excel, Managing numbers through spreadsheets.
9. People interaction experience
10. Retirement Benefits accounts are preferable
11. High critical thinking, quick at response, fast learner, proactive, willing to pick up things when hitting a roadblock, quick at learning clients' benefits, and 13. ability to research.
12. Direct 1-3 of the Accounting Software experiences: Intuit Quickbooks Payroll, ADP Workforce Now, KRONOS, Paylocity, Paychex, Gusto, Patriot, OnPay, ProAdvisor, encompass, Peachtree, Block (formerly Square), Namely, Paycor, isolved, Trolley, Xero, EPAY systems, HRAPP, SentricWorkforce,
13. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Business or Public Administration, or a related field or possession of the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certificate may be substituted for the two years of the required experience are welcome.
