JOB TITLE:

Sr QA Tester

LOCATION:

Owings Mills, MD (This role is a Hybrid position ? 3 days onsite, 2 days
remote)





DESCRIPTION:

Compass Pointe has partnered with a global financial company in the Owings
Mills, MD area that is looking to hire a Sr QA Tester. You will support the
Marketing and Investment Data Repository (MIDR) system. MIDR is an Oracle
database for investment performance data. Data is loaded from multiple
sources (API/Flat Files) and delivered to other departments via data
services and Business Objects reports. You should have previous experience
working for asset management/finance companies. You will support MIDR
efforts to implement enhancements to existing functionality or changes
needed for regulatory requirements. You will also support testing for
production issues and system performance improvements.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database
impacts, software scenarios, or usability
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report
defects to software developers
- Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output,
online screen or content
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or
delivery dates



TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong SQL Skills (Store Procedures, PL SQL, Triggers, Indexes,
Database Optimization)
- Experience with Oracle, Business Objects, Autosys, Informatica
Workflows, ETL testing, Data mapping, and backend testing
- Experience with SOAPUI/Postman for API/data services testing
- Experience with Jira for defect management and test management



QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science,
computer engineering or related field required
- 8-10 years? experience required
- Previous experience working for asset management/finance companies
- Experience testing software
- Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and
test results reports
- Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations
