Responsibilities:

Gather information about patients, including their health history, allergies and current state of health, and communicate this information to other medical professionals.

Assess patient status and communicate changes in condition to doctor or other medical staff members.

Respond to requests from various medical professionals.

Assess and administer medications as prescribed by a doctor or other medical professional.

Provide medical treatment to nurses and patients in accordance with the standards of nursing practice.

Provide nursing services according to doctor's orders.

Report accidents, injuries, and other emergencies to supervisor.

Utilize common hospital equipment such as blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, and intravenous drip lines.
