Job Summary
Our Advanced Material lab specializes in a wide variety of measurements including QC/QA, Failure Analysis and R&D support with a focus on ALD Precursor Chemicals. We utilize ICP-MS and HR-ICP-MS techniques for this work. You will work in an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for preparing and running routine samples by ICP-MS and performing routine instrument maintenance. The chosen candidate must like preparing and running routine QC/QA work. You will specialize in trace and ultra-trace elemental analysis techniques. The candidates would preferably have prior experience with metal analysis and acid handling and wish to pursue a career in analytical chemistry with a focus within the semiconductor industry.

The selected candidate will be part of the Advanced Material lab at our Fremont, CA lab in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, home of Silicon Valley.

Job Description
• Bottle, Glassware and Plasticware washing
• Delivering / Transporting samples between labs if required
• Enter test results into data management system in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow SOP
• General lab cleaning and organization
• Ability to operate and maintain assigned ICP-MS/HR-ICP-MS laboratory equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on a HR-ICP-MS
• Sample login
• Prepare reagents and standards
• Prepare routine samples for analysis
• Routine Analyses
• Calibrate and tune instruments
• Limited customer interaction
• Prioritize shift work
• Assist on waste consolidation and waste disposal
• Meets and exceed all company safety procedures and standards

Skills Required
• Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory
• Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Must have initiative and be self-motivated
• Must be able to lift 50lbs with the help from coworkers

Education/Training/Certifications
• Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science plus 5 years’ experience OR BS in Chemistry or Similar Science plus 1-3 years’ experience

Additional Requirements
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm

Pay Rate/Salary
• Up to $30.00 per hour depending on experience
