Title: Performance Test Engineer/Performance Engineer
Location: Glendale, AZ
Duration: 12 Month+ Contract
Description:
Performance Engineer is responsible for the performance validation of the wide range of application systems, proactively identifies architectural issues, provide design alternatives, and tuning recommendations using state of the art telemetry systems and tools. The successful candidate will have a passion for full-stack Performance engineering.
Role Accountabilities
• Actively participates in performance test workload modeling, script development, and execution of performance test suites to evaluate and provide technical assistance to improve system availability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Works with Architecture and Application teams to assess potential impacts of new technologies & changes in software development releases and ensures the testing practice is up to speed to deliver high-quality software releases
• Analyzes performance tests results, identify the root cause and provide recommendation for optimization, ensure timely proactive identification of performance issues and escalates issues as warranted
• Hands-on experience with debugging and tuning of Application servers, JVM, GC, heap, and thread dump analysis, OS & database analysis, and related performance issues
• Proficient in setting up APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace,Splunk, etc. and have experience integrating with test tools and the ability to create custom dashboards
• Experience with Load Testing tools like Neoload, Cavisson Netstorm, J Meter and Blazemeter
• Experience with Java, Oracle, Linux,web services, REST API, and microservices tech stacks
• Experience embedding Performance test in CI-CD Pipeline including complete automation of the performance testing process to accelerate the speed of delivery
• Experience with Cloud Performance Testing approach and Integrated Performance testing between Cloud and On-Prem applications - AWS, GCP, etc.
• Utilizes processes, data, and reporting tools like Jira and Graffana Dashboards that ensure project goals and internal/external customer expectations are met or exceeded
• Familiar with Performance CoE model and effectively support multiple Applications and Teams across domains
• Has excellent communication skills and engage audiences across teams to lead performance testing efforts
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule based on department and company needs
Required Skills/Experience
• Undergraduate studies in computer science and engineering, management information systems, or related degree
• Minimum of five years of experience in the field of Performancetesting & Performance Engineering Space.
• Experience embedding Performance test in CI-CD Pipeline including complete automation of the performance testing process to accelerate the speed of delivery
• Strong collaboration skills
• SDLC and testing methodology
• Experience with performance testing tools such as Neoload, Netstorm, J Meter and Blazemeter
Preferred Skills / Experience
• Experience with APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace,Splunk and capable of integrating with test tools and ability to create custom dashboards
• Experience with debugging and tuning of Application servers, JVM, GC, heap, and thread dump analysis, OS & database analysis, and related performance issues
• Well-versed in creating Decisive Performance Test Summary reports and capable of custom real-time test monitoring dashboards using Grafana
• Experience with Cloud Performance Testing approach and Integrated Performance testing between Cloud and On-Prem applications - AWS, GCP etc.
