Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a 330-bed facility. Levindale's Geriatric Center includes 126 long-term care beds, 35 subacute care beds, 28 dementia care beds and 21-respiratory care beds. The Specialty Hospital at Levindale consists of a 40-high intensity care beds and an 80 behavioral health beds. The Departments:
• Households (Long Term Care)
• Halls-Sub acute Care/Long Term Care (Medical/Surgical)
• Burks-Pulmonary Care (Long Term Care Trach and Long-Term Care Vent Units)
• Behavioral Health-Behavioral/Memory Care (Dementia/Alzheimer’s) & Medical Care
• HICU-Vent/Pulmonary Care/Acute Rehab (TBI, Dialysis, Gtube, Trach, Vent, LVAD patients)
• Treatment Team
• Staffing Resource Pool: fast-paced department working and caring for patients on all departments at needed
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and function as advisor, resource, for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team. Conducts and documents an initial and ongoing assessment and gathers data relevant to the patient's/family individual needs. Develops and documents plan of care for selected patients/families. Implements, documents and provides care and education based on plan of care. Evaluates and documents the outcomes of nursing practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field;
• American Heart Association CPR Card,
• Maryland Registered Nurse/LPN License.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Basic computer skills, Cerner, Synquest Standard, Office Equipment, Medical terminology.
• Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act, Critical thinking skills, medical equipment. Less than one year of experience.
Levindale Patient Care Services offers a Nursing Career Ladder that allows opportunities for advancement and development of Registered Nurses. The Clinical Career ladder level for new hires will be determined through defined ladder criteria during the hiring process.
Please note: As a condition of employment, if not already completed, all new hires are required to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccination Series prior to their Occupational Health pre-employment assessment, and scheduled to complete the Vaccine Series within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
