This is a part-time position, 10-15 hours a week. Hours are highly flexible, provided that assembly and shipping needs are met. Salary $30/hour.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Assemble or reassemble networking equipment
2. Set up and manage equipment test racks
3. Run software tools to provision new or reworked hardware
4. Run software tools to provision new customer cloud setups
5. Assist with packing and shipping to customers, and managing inventory
6. Assist engineers with setting up QA test systems
7. May involve light scripting/coding if skills available
Skills and Qualifications Must haves:
1. Hands-on work with assembling computers or electronics
2. Attention to detail and quality
3. Familiarity with computer usage (Linux preferred)
Nice to have, or desire to learn:
1. Familiarity with networking gear – switches, routers, APs, etc.
2. Familiarity with test equipment
Education
High school diploma or GED required. Community college, associates technical degree, or equivalent experience preferred. Computer skills and 1-2 years electronics lab or factory experience a plus.
