Job description: 24-7 Consulting (24-7) is seeking an entry-level Roadway Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Inspector Aide to join our CEI Construction team in Central Georgia. The candidate can look forward to projects, including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The position tasks include assisting the CEI Project Administrator or Senior CEI Inspector in all aspects of daily roadway construction inspection. This contains various construction inspection duties to ensure quality control and contractor compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects of varying complexities.
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Good written and verbal communication
• Must have computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
• Valid driver's license
EXPERIENCE: No prior experience is necessary. Construction experience is helpful.
QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATIONS:
• FDOT Intermediate MOT - Must obtain within the first six months of the assignment
ABILITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions
• Responsible for assisting higher-level inspectors
• Operational analysis of the construction of freeways, interchanges, arterials, ramps, and intersections
• Verification testing of different aspects of GDOT Projects
• Provide technical support and task management for transportation projects
• As a CEI Roadway Inspector Aide, you will begin an exciting career in CEI roadway and bridge construction inspection.

• Inspects and monitors assigned fieldwork activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents
• In guidance with the senior inspector, checks lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard surveying and field measuring equipment
• Ensures that highway work zones and traffic control setups conform to contract requirements
• Tests and samples materials
