Eagle Harbor is look for a Paralegal to help support our client in the Washington, DC area.



Responsibilities:

Compile, prepare and summarize relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents

Summarize depositions and other transcripts

Maintain case files

Perform simple legal research

Index, track and control document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery)

Index, track and exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial

Prepare exhibit cross-references

Assist attorney in the courtroom

Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria

Compile documents of FOIA, production requests, and Congressional inquiries



Requirements:

Must have a Paralegal certificate or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study. One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate.

One year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience is required

Trial experience is preferred

Automated litigation support experience preferred

Ability to interact with clients and attorneys

Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandums

Knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Able to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure

Excellent MS Office Suite to include Word processing, spreadsheets, file management systems and imaging
