Job Description
PeopleReady ofHickory has an immediate opening for Shipping and Receiving inNewton, NC.
We are looking for a responsibleShipping and Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with materials or product. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of the inbound process from receipts to directing the put aways. This will enable our lead the flexibility of addressing any receiving descrepencies, communication to our vendors, auditing the receipts and the ability to research all reported OS&Ds. Checking their contents to ensure they match orders. AShipping and Receiving Clerk must have a great eye for details and basic math skills. They also must have adequate clerical skills to update records and follow up with supplies. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct pacakges and stock them appropriately.Monday- Friday Some Saturdays
Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $14.00/Hour
Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day)
Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Inspect contents to ensure they are not damaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices
• Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
• Assume responsibility for unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
• Must have MS Excel,Word,Microsoft Office,WMS knowledge
• Prior receiving experience
• Good communication skills
• Team Player
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities
• Drug check required
• Customer Specific Orientation
