As part of the U-Haul team, you will represent the company’s commitment to delivering dependable service and ensuring customers receive the support they need throughout their rental experience.
In this role, you will work alongside a supportive team while interacting with customers both inside and outside the facility. Responsibilities include assisting customers with equipment rentals, inspecting and maintaining rental equipment, and helping ensure the overall safety and readiness of U-Haul vehicles and tools. Employees will also use modern technology to manage rental transactions, track inventory, and process equipment returns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist customers both inside the U-Haul center and on the property with rental services and product information
· Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rental transactions and monitor inventory
· Help move, position, and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers as needed
· Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels and general condition
· Answer customer questions and provide guidance on products, rental services, and equipment usage
· Prepare rental agreements and invoices while processing equipment returns accurately
· Install trailer hitches and wiring for customers when required
· Fill propane tanks after completing company-provided certification
· Operate a forklift to move equipment and supplies after completing company training and certification
· Perform additional operational tasks as assigned by supervisors
· Participate in continuous training programs through U-Haul University to enhance job knowledge and skills
Minimum Qualifications
· Valid driver’s license with the ability to maintain a safe driving record
· High school diploma or equivalent education
Work Environment
This position may involve moderate workplace risks that require safety precautions. Employees may work around moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, or chemicals and may need to wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, masks, or shields when necessary.
Physical Requirements
The role may involve physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking indoors and outdoors, bending, reaching at different heights, and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
