Job Title: CPA

Location: United States (Remote with up to 15% travel)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Attest Senior to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client attest engagements, assisting with internal inspections, and staying up-to-date on generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation.

Responsibilities:

- Review client attest engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and reviewing financial statements
- Assist with Internal Inspections on an annual basis
- Stay current on generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation
- Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
- Assist with various training projects provided during the year
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on the attest process
- Research and analyze financial statements and related attest issues
- Develop a network of potential referral sources and identify opportunities to sell additional Prager Metis services
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting or comparable subject (Master's Degree highly preferred)
- CPA License required
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in public accounting, financial statement audits, and SAARS engagements
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, GAAS, SSAR's, SSAE's, and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on time-sensitive engagements
- Knowledge of SEC and PCAOB auditing standards a plus
