Civil Project Engineers in our Woburn, MA, and Manchester, NH offices. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in the preparation of civil/site construction documents and permitting submissions (local, state, and federal) associated with a variety of private land development projects.
In this role, you will work closely with the firm's Principals and Project Managers to support private land development projects in various phases of development.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to perform grading, drainage calculations, site due diligence, and assist with the preparation of engineering plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports, preparation of permit submissions, and perform construction administration services.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of HydroCAD and Civil 3D is a strong plus. The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a team and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic Must-Haves:
Experience in private site development.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities.
Proficient with making technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations.
Ability to work independently and adhere to standard QA/QC procedures.
Ability to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
EIT certification, preferred or at least obtainable within 1 year of hire.
3-5+ years of professional engineering experience.
