Full-time Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney

Global law firm seeks a Copyright Litigation focused Associate Attorney to join its expanding New York group.

Candidate will have minimum 3 years of experience with copyright litigation and other intellectual property matters within a major law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Ability to work on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients with respect to ongoing matters ; Keen business knowledge.

Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades preferred) ; Undergrad degree in computer science, electrical engineering, preferred ; Strong drafting, research, and verbal & written communication skills required ; NY Bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Representing a diverse clientele including creators, individuals, and companies across various industries like technology, media, entertainment, and consumer products.

-Managing evidence, including conducting discovery, interviewing witnesses, and collecting documentation.

-Counseling companies on developing products that are compatible with products of other vendors.

-Assisting clients with complex issues surrounding computer software, including issues relating to the scope of copyright protection and business arrangements for research and development, consulting, and licensing.

-Representing clients in licensing-related matters.

-Aiding in litigation over copyright protection for commercial items such as toys, games, and educational materials.
