Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide professional mental health and nursing care services in a correctional healthcare setting. The Psychiatric Technician will work under the direction of the facilitys CEO, CNE, or their designee, providing essential psychiatric and behavioral healthcare to patients in a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to individuals with mental or developmental disabilities.
Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor patients exhibiting symptoms of mental illness.
Administer medications and treatments, including injections, and record vital signs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement treatment plans and goals.
Assist in developing and leading group or individual therapy sessions.
Coordinate and prepare clinical appointments, ensuring patient attendance and readiness.
Observe and report any significant changes in patients physical or mental conditions.
Perform emergency response duties, including CPR and first aid when required.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation following facility protocols.
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for patients and staff.
