Job Title: Senior Power Platform / .NET Developer

About the Role:
Mecklenburg County is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform/.NET Developer to join our IT team. This role requires a hands-on technical leader to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft Power Platform, .NET (4.8/8), and Azure services. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Power Platform development, cloud integration, and modern software architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of applications built on Microsoft Power Platform and ASP.NET Core on Azure.

Develop PowerApps, plugins, custom workflows, and Power Automate flows.

Integrate systems using Azure Service Bus, Messaging Queue, and SSIS.

Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure best development practices.

Collaborate with business teams and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Manage full SDLC activities — design, code, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance applications.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of software development experience with Power Platform and .NET technologies.

Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core (8), and Azure cloud services.

Experience with SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Azure DevOps.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and modern development practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) or Developer Associate (PL-400) certification.

Experience with PowerApps/Dynamics 365, PCF development, and Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Prior experience in leading technical teams.
