Job Title: Network/Telecom Specialist – Mid Level (777730)
Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Pay Rate: $55/hr

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network/Telecom Specialist to provide infrastructure and operations support for Public Health systems, including COVID and infectious disease case investigation and contact tracing. The role involves managing network hardware/software, server administration, and telephony systems to ensure reliable operations and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure and TCP/IP systems.

Administer network routers, switches, and related data/telephony cabling.

Support Apache Tomcat, Wildfly, and Java web application deployments.

Manage Linux and Windows clusters, SAN storage, and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and archiving procedures.

Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and fault management.

Develop and maintain automation using BASH and shell scripting.

Required Skills & Experience:

2+ years of experience with VMware and Hyper-V.

2+ years of MSSQL administration.

1+ year of Wildfly application management.

1+ year of BASH/shell scripting.

Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, network design, and system administration.

Experience with Apache Tomcat, Linux/Windows systems, and SAN management.

Expected Skills:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience managing medium-complexity infrastructure projects.
