Our independent, family-owned community pharmacy is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, a willingness to learn and adapt, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the pharmacist and other pharmacy technicians to ensure the health and safety of patients.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including intake of written and electronic prescriptions, dispensing the prescribed medication accurately and efficiently.
- Performs record maintenance, including collection and input of patient information and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
- Work with insurance companies to process billing claims and ensure proper coverage through insurance.
- Processes manual claims through insurances in a timely and efficient manner, ensures proper coverage, and performs other clerical duties as necessary.
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals and allied professionals, including our on-site registered nurse, for the coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and maintain inventory control of medications, including ordering, receiving, restocking, and storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace, ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
- Uphold professional behavior in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Interacting and engaging with patients and customers regarding prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, and general merchandise.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns, processing payments, and assisting in finding products.

Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED
- Basic operation of computer programs and Windows
- Willingness to obtain and retain required licensure in compliance with changing state mandates.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time while completing work on a computer.
- Ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the workplace.

Lack of experience/certification does not disqualify a candidate at this time.
Paid training.
Offer dependent on factors such as experience and education.
