JOB OVERVIEW
Tolerance Masters LLC is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machined parts and sub-assemblies.
We are seeking a Controller who will be a hands-on strategic partner to the executive leadership team, driving financial excellence and sustainability within the company. This key role is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, compliance, and financial strategy. The Controller will play a vital role in steering the company's financial direction, ensuring robust performance, and positioning the organization for long-term growth in a competitive industry. HOURS
Monday-Friday, 40-hour work week
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team; provide insights and recommendations to guide key business decisions
Align financial strategy with company goals, market conditions, and industry trends
Support strategic initiatives including capital investments, contract negotiations, and growth planning
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in coordination with production and operational goals
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial and operational health
Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including general accounting, cost accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and inventory management
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Maintain robust accounting policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness
Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulations
Optimize cash flow, working capital, and funding strategies to maintain financial stability
Lead efforts in risk management, including credit, operational, and investment risk
Ensure adequate insurance coverage and appropriate mitigation of financial exposures
Partner with operations to manage procurement and inventory efficiently
Stay informed of evolving financial regulations, standards, and best practices
Attend relevant training and industry events to maintain expertise
Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the organization
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
CPA or CMA strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with some experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial management in a production setting
SKILLS
Proficiency in JobBOSS, ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with financial systems implementation is a plus

PAY
$110925.00-$150000.00 per year
