2ND Shift Lab Tech needs 2-4 years’ degree from college or technical school in a chemical or life-science related field
2ND Shift Lab Tech requires:
• Lab
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Industrial lab
• Comfortable with safely working with hazardous materials.
2ND Shift Lab Tech duties:
• Assist in the design of experiments, conduct those experiments independently and collect, summarize, and present the resulting data.
• Preparation and evaluation of coating formulations including electro-coat, primer, topcoat and clear coat using mixing equipment and various spray equipment.
• Willingness to train and become proficient in application equipment to spray coating formulations on test substrates.
• Accurately run and record test results for all coatings formulations
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the laboratory; collaborate with research investigators when erroneous or unexpected results occur.
• Document findings and communicate results using Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, & Teams.
• Make suggestions on path forward and contribute to formulating work plans and managing daily workflow.
