</br>Reporting to a USS Administration Support Manager, this position will handle technology support requests from university administrative staff, including provisioning and troubleshooting of computers and peripherals, network interfaces, operating systems, productivity and enterprise applications, and cybersecurity and general orientations.

</br>We are seeking an experienced and skilled IBM MQ Appliance Migration
</br>Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be
</br>responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of IBM MQ
</br>Appliance environments to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. This role

</br>Migration Planning:

</br>Develop comprehensive migration plans outlining tasks, timelines, and
</br>resource requirements. Assess and document current IBM MQ Appliance

</br>Execution and Implementation:

</br>Lead the migration process, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
</br>Implement best practices for IBM MQ Appliance migration in alignment with
</br>industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues in a

</br>Collaboration:

</br>Collaborate with stakeholders, including system administrators, developers,
</br>and IT support teams. Provide technical guidance and support to team members
</br>during the migration process.

</br>Documentation:

</br>Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of migration processes,
</br>configurations, and changes. Produce post-migration reports and conduct
</br>knowledge transfer sessions.

</br>Qualifications:

</br>·       Proven experience in planning and executing IBM MQ Appliance
</br>migrations.
</br>
</br>·       In-depth knowledge of IBM MQ configurations, features, and
</br>functionalities.
</br>
</br>·       Familiarity with IBM MQ Appliance hardware and software components.
</br>
</br>·       Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to IBM MQ.
</br>
</br>·       Experience working with diverse teams in complex IT environments.
</br>
</br>·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
</br>
</br>·       Certifications in IBM MQ or related technologies are a plus.

</br>Must have the following hands-on-experience:

</br>·       Hands-on experience with installing and configuring MQ Appliances.

</br>·       Experience in defining and set up appropriate backup and
</br>Recovery/restore procedures.

</br>·       Strong experience with MQ MFT, MFT agents installs /config and deploy
</br>MFT jobs on Linux and Windows.

</br>·       Working on building MQ MFT hub Co-ordination queue manager and Agent
</br>queue managers.

</br>·       Experience in setup MQ clustering which queue managers are running on
</br>distributed platforms.

</br>·       Strong working experience with large MQ Clustering on
</br>AIX/Linux/Windows Operating System Experience with configuration and
</br>maintenance of MQ 9.2 and Installation fix, troubleshoot daily issues such as

</br>Position Summary
</br>Reporting to a USS Administration Support Manager, this position will handle technology support requests from university administrative staff, including provisioning and troubleshooting of computers and peripherals, network interfaces, operating systems, productivity and enterprise applications, and cyber security and general orientations. This position will supervise Student Technicians at the USS-Admin help-desk. In addition, this position will be the primary triage point for incoming work tickets.

</br>Minimum Requirements
</br>This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience.
