Full-time Senior Accident Reconstruction Engineer

A Senior Accident Reconstruction Engineer consults with attorneys, insurance adjusters, claims managers, and others on litigated claims. Types of assignments include determining the cause(s) of a collision, determining extent and nature of collision damage, evaluating vehicle issues, and providing reports and expert testimony. A wide variety of cases involving trucks, trailers, autos, heavy equipment, motorcycles, trains, machinery, product liability, and others will be encountered. Engineers regularly interface with our In-House Computer Graphics department for development of simulation environments and visuals for trial presentation. Required Skills/Experiences: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum five years of relevant accident reconstruction experience • Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado, and ability to get licensed in other states • Record of providing clear, accurate, and credible testimony in deposition and trial • Experience with field work including investigating accident scenes and damaged vehicles • Availability to travel frequently, sometimes at a moment’s notice Desired Skills/Experiences: • Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering • ACTAR Certification • HVE • AutoCAD • Surveying • CDR download • Diesel engine download • Berla iVe download • FARO Scan • SUAS Flight Desired Attributes: • Prior business ownership • Must enjoy solving puzzles and finding hidden truths • Ability to write detailed yet readable technical reports • Ability to translate scientific material for a non-technical audience • Customer service and client contact competence • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Capable of managing multiple tasks on a timely basis • Ability to tackle assignments that require gaining knowledge in new areas • Must be honest and ethical • Ability to both work on a team and work independently (self-starter)
