PeopleReady of Forest City, NCis now hiring Operator Assistants!The Machine Operator Assistant will assist the Machine Operator by obtaining replacement raw materials from storage areas and handling all aspects of the corrugated packaging of the finished product.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17 / Hour
What you'll be doing as a Operator Assistant:

• Assist the Machine Operator and Bag Inspectors/Packers in maintaining a clean and safe work environment and comply with all company safety policies.
• Works at the conveyor end of the department keeping all pallets and corrugated cases stocked.
• Operate a forklift to press and strap completed boxes of bags and wrap the completed cases.
• Under the direction of the two Machine Operators, obtain adhesives, corrugated cases, paper board slip sheets, and any other necessary materials.
• Assist the Inspector/Packer in packing finished product as needed.
• Transport paper waste to baler, fill baler, and makes bales of waste when baler is full.
• Document inventory when boxes are completed.
• Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear required PPE.
• Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Available shifts:
Shift timings -3rd Shift (Night)
Job requirements:

• Ability to read and write English at a 10th grade level.
• Ability to stand in one area for periods up to 60 minutes.
• Ability to lift 12-50 lbs. continuously and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Some assignments have additional screening requirements, such as background checks and/or drug tests
