Transformer Field Service Technician

at Jobisite in California

To perform mechanical/electrical support in the following areas that requires supervision from FST's 3 & 4:

Transformer Assembly
Electrical Testing
Controls
LTC's
Oil Processing

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The below listed responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities or duties required. People performing this function will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Receive assignments and instructions from lead and manager - both oral and written.

Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth Company procedures, and blueprints when performing assigned work.
Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified.
Support FST 3 and 4 with: Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls, LTC's, Oil Processing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Must be mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of hand tools
Must understand operating heavy machinery/equipment.
Must be self-directed, positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/directions.
Must have advanced computer skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must have HS Diploma or GED equivalent
Must have valid Driver's License
Preferred Education / Experience
Manufacturing/industrial experience
