Waikiki Health is recruiting for a full-time Housing Navigator. The Housing Navigator is responsible for supporting households at our Keauhou Shelter with moving into permanent housing. They are also responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at our Keauhou Shelter. As well as assisting households with accessing healthcare, and other social services. They will work closely with the Director of Health Equity and Housing First Manager to ensure services are conducted with the highest level of efficacy, consumer satisfaction, and consistent with contract requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develops an individualized housing plan with Keauhou clients assigned to their caseload.
- Direct Keauhou clients according to their needs to appropriate in-house or outside housing programs.
- Responsible for monitoring the shelter grounds and working the front desk at Keauhou Shelter.
- Deescalate aggressive and/or severely mentally ill clients (SMI).
- Keep office area, front desk, and inside the shelter clean and organized.
- Assure that client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a homeless shelter setting or related field preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours any day throughout the week.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have basic computer skills.
- Must be organized and able to complete all assigned tasks.
- Hawaii driver’s license with 5-year history loss.
