Full-time Lead Manager, Corporate Actions

at BNY Mellon in Tamil Nadu

Overview: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a business, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently.

Planning and coordinating business activities: A business manager must develop strategies and plans to achieve business goals and objectives, as well as oversee the implementation of those plans.
Managing financial resources: Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure that the organization stays financially viable.
Managing staff: Oversee the hiring, training, and onboarding of staff.
Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations, such as labour laws, environmental regulations, and tax laws.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures: Establish and enforce policies and procedures that govern the organization's operations.
Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders: Must develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, investors, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the business.
Analysing data and making informed decisions: Collect and analyse data to make informed decisions about the business, such as whether to expand operations or enter new markets.
Monitoring industry trends and competition: Stay informed about industry trends and competition and adjust business strategies accordingly.
Managing projects: Oversee the planning and execution of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
Ensuring the safety and security of the organization: Develop and implement plans to ensure the safety and security of the organization and its staff.
Capability to work independently in understanding the operations landscape and business.
Have visualisation skills to translate complex data into simple presentations and present key metrics to key stakeholders.
Overall, a business manager must possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage the operations of a business.
